I just got ICQ. (172206877) I`m now ready to duel, but first I have to know a little about how network games work. Are they played through ICQ or the browser? When you enter the IP address at create is it the ICQ# or another address? And are existing teams used or is it tournament rules? (That sounds even more daunting.)

They're played through the game itself - you've got the option for network games right at the beginning.
Your IP address is different than your ICQ number - it's your connection, not ICQ. IP is how the two computers connect.
As far as rules, you can use either existing or tournament, it's up to the players.
If you get one of the veterans, they'll tell you how to do everything.

Yes, just played a game with the venerable Hetzer and got whupped admiralby.

Ditto me, that's always the way it goes. Perhaps with some more experience I will become "evil" like Hetzer says I will be once I get some more netgame experience (The AI is evil, but predictable...and does not respond to taunts =P)

But at least Hetzer's willing to give advice, and generally amusing banter...which is alot better than "H4 H4 I +0+4||1 \/\/|_|pp3d j0 @$$!"

Yes, I will admit I am semi fluent in L33t. Blame Megatokyo.

Anyway, I will see about adding you to my ICQ/Trillian list as soon as I am properly ensconsed at my desk at home, rather than on this horrible machine with a monitor that has serious moire problems (It's like looking at a fishtank...only not relaxing).

/me wishes the swear filter was not so hypersensitive.
