Editing Custom Names Within Game

I had thought to add some of my own flavor to certain of the ships of a certain class - the steam frigates. I swapped out all the names listed on the CustomNames line for my own and deleted the cached models file.

But the old names still show up in game.

My modifications were in the \Games\Civil War II\CW2\GameData\Models file. Is there another area that contains default custom names I should be looking at? I searched through the scripts and scenario file but didn't see anything (playing the April 61 campaign).

Ah, I found it. Also had to edit the custom names in the \Games\Civil War II\CW2\GameData\Units files.

Also, ships already built can't get your new names. But I see you are a good detective [:)]

Those ships already built are fine with me - I like being as close to historical reality as possible and it would bug me to have the CSS Lusitania as Semme's command...

Ha.

It might be amusing to rename Tatnall's ship to the Titanic; I read the account of his commendation test. Hilarious. "Let the ship go to the devil where it belongs." [:D]
