At night, do all units equipped with thermal, infra-red or night vision devices get the same vision efficiency?
Also, could someone tell modern war newbies (like me) where to get a list of in-game abbreviations?

No, different equipment gets different in game capabilities.
Good Hunting.

Section 6.6.5 in the manual has a couple pages of acronyms and definitions.
I just got done asking this same question in another thread. Any way we can get a chart that shows the capabilities of sensors/sights in game terms?
Tanks!

apd1004,
I'll have to give some thought as to how to show that with all of the variable involved. It may have to be fairly basic. It will be a few weeks before I can even swing guns to this. I'll get this on my documentation errata list.

Great. That's what I was looking for. (I looked for "abbreviation" in the PDF file and got no results.)
Thanks.

Here is a nice site I'm using for military abbreviations.
Be sure that "military category" is ticked.

Understandable. All the variables that go into the mechanics of this game are what makes it such a great game and make me want to dig into how it works even more.
It's all about understanding the capabilities and limitations of your enemy and your own forces.
