I am having a problem where after a few game months the game crashes with a "Critical Error" message. This error corrupts the save game file so I can not reload the game. When I try to reload the game, I get the same "Critical Error" message. My only option is to restart a new game.

I have encountered this same problem on 1.00, RC2, and RC4. Anyone else getting this error?

I'm not at my computer with a save game file yet, but I can attach it later.

I had the same thing happen last night.

In fact, my game somehow managed to corrupt the entire load game page. I can start a new game but if I save it I can't go back to it because the page is all screwy. I'm going to wait for a couple patches to come out then reinstall and try again.

It seems some of your saved games file are still using ZIP compression. That's probably a left over of previously started game, now the game don't compress saved games anymore, as for a few % of players, there is a problem.

Can you please check and or delete any of your old saved game, there must be there either 0 byte file or files with the tmp extension.

I deleted the old save games and the error went away. Thanks.
