I encountered some very strange behaviour on aircraft targeted by sams.
I attached a picture of the situation where I have a bunch of Hornets being fired by Iran SAM units. The hornets are engaged defensive constantly under the SAM barrage. They could easily escape from the situation by flying south, since they are already almost at the maximum SAM range. Instead, they seem to try to put the missiles to 90' angle and as a result are flying closer to the SAM launchers, which therefore keep putting more missiles in the air.
So the Hornets seem to be trapped in some "engaged defensive" limbo.

The situation could be easily solved by having some kind of "Bypass AI" setting. The same setting would also be extremely using in combating the truly annoying RTB 'feature' where you loose control of any aircraft in RTB status.

If you select in the doctrine window "Automatic Evasion": "No" then you will have exactly that and you can tell them to egress.

And at that range you can duck under the radar horizon, i think they would obey your altitude directions.
