Air launched/dropped nukes are still several orders of magnitude more powerful than those carried by missiles. Maths comparing the kg per dp of weapons would suggest that the air launched weapons have values several orders of magnitude to high and that the missile ones are spot on

Both DB3000 and the CWDB have this discrepancy between the DP of weapons of the same yield. Surely the DP cause by say 1.45MT should be the same whether the weapon is dropped by a B-52 or launched via a LGM-30 ?

I guess that would depend on the relative dp of all the other units in the Databases as well.

DP appears in general to equate to the kilogram weight of the warhead. 20kg air to air warhead does 20DP. 200kg bomb does around 200 DP. But an air dropped nuke does far more damage than it should. Having just checked the database again, a 1.2MT RV does 1082000000 DP or 1.08 billion DP yet an air dropped 1.45MT bomb does more than 1450 trillion DP (no wonder the B-52's get caught in the blast)

Okay logged a note to take a look at this. Odds are its just a data entry thing.

If you have nuke you need fixed for a scenario in the immediate future let us know what it is and will address so you can move forward.

Thanks!

Mike

It's OK Mike, I just want to make sure this one was captured - I think someone else had an issue with a nuclear RIM-8 but you guys fixed that. That's what made me look at the others and I found this.
