What is the most common form of laying sea mines. I was having a bit of a read on this subject on the net, It appears that subs and ships don't mines these days, does that mean that most mines are aerial delivered?

Depends really. Ship-laying is the most economical way if you're not in a hurry and don't much care who's watching (though you _can_ do it covertly at night). Airdrops are by far the fastest but everyone sees you doing it. Subs are the most covert method but the slowest one.
