I've already read a couple of threads that seem to have touched on this subject, but I'm not sure if there have been any suitable replies. I'm trying to design a simple custom scenario where a Sqn of NK Badgers attack my Tico class CG. If I chose to use the Patrol option, it seems to work, sort of. The NK airbase will only send out 2 a/c at a time using the 1/3 rule. Even though I've told the editor to have ALL a/c ready at the begining of the scenario. Easy pickins for the Tico's long-range SAMs. I placed 22 a/c at the airbase. But, at least there is SOME action going on. However, in order to really challenge the Aegis system, I want to order a 16 plane squadron ASuw Strike. Again, all a/c are ordered to be ready at beginning of scenario. But, nothing happens. I've even waited over a hour into the scenario to make sure I give the a/c plenty of time to launch and form-up. There are no other a/c assigned to the airbase. there should not be ANY traffic "in the pattern". I am using build 442. Will check to see if there is a later version, perhaps this issue has already been resolved.

I'm having a similar problem in a scenario I designed - I have a Chinese CV that can't seem to launch its planes - they forever sit at 4 seconds to wait for a runway to clear, then after 4 seconds passes they reset back to 4 seconds. They never launch. There is no damage to any of the aircraft facilities, but there is some overall damage to the unit.. could that be it?

The opponent side needs to see the strike target before attacking. Make sure to arrange some recon or something.

The patrol a/c launched as ordered, they located my Tico CG, I shot them down, and within a realistic period of time, the strike a/c began launching. Then, after all 16 were airborne and formed-up, they headed for my Tico. My first salvo knocked down 12, the second salvo downed all the rest. Love that Aegis System. Very realistic in all repects. That's just what I was hoping for. My initial attempts simply reflect the fact that I'm an old Harpoon player and not fimiliar with the level of reality represented here in this new sim.
