Screen Size

I am running Windows 7 Pro, SP1.
Is there anyway to set the WITP:AE window so that I can still see the menu bar at the bottom of the Windows screen? My display size for my screen is set to 1680x1050.
Thanks

See the read-me file and it provides a number of codes you can input into your start-up to provide a number of options including showing screen in window.

1440 x 900px is the next smallest legal video resolution (depending on your hardware).
Make sure you run in windowed mode and it won't fill the screen.

OK, here're the switches I'd recommend:
-w -skipVideo -deepColor -dd_sw -px1680 -py1050 -cpu2 -archive -autosave
Leave the ones out ya's don't want, e.g. the archive and autosave...

That's what I have done. Thrse settings are for my laptop:
"C:\Matrix Games\WITP AE - PBM #1\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -altFont -archive -wd -deepColor -px1366 -py768 -fixedArt -noFire -SingleCpuOrders -cpu3
These are for the desktop:
"C:\Matrix Games\WITP AE - PBM #1\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -altFont -cpu4 -dd_sw -archive -wd -pxf1920 -pyf1018 -noFire
Using pxf and pyf instead of px and py allows you to specify any resolution, not just the specific increments that the video card supports. Just play around with the numbers until you get the exact ones that fit your screen.
However, if things don't display too well that's just how it is. Notice that I also have noFire and fixedArt to make the combat replay animations go more smoothly. I might not need them if I didn't have these resolution settings.

THanks for everybody's help.
I got it to where I could size the window sothat it was basically full screen other than the windows task bar along the bottom. The only problem was that it kept the same small font as the "window" size instead of the "full screen" size making it very hard for these old eyes to see.
Guess I just have to use ALT-TAB to go back and forth on my laptop until I can ever get my desktop upgraded (which, unfortunately is low on my to do list at the moment).

Wow, thanks for the pxf/pyf hint witpqs. I thought I was stuck with standard resolutions even in window mode. Now I can run at crazy resolutions like 1300x800? Must test when I get home!

How do you enable windowed mode?

Typing " -w" after the executable in your shortcut enables windowed mode.
Edited the picture to clarify the [space] between the target line and the switch. (Thanks witpqs!)

Wait, is that a [space] then dash before the "w"?

In terms of obvious things you may be doing wrong, if you're trying to add the " -w" to autorun.exe, it won't work - the shortcut has to be a direct link to your actual executable. If for some reason you don't see "War in the Pacific Admirals Edition.exe" as the last part of your shortcut (like in the picture above) then create a new shortcut targeting this file specifically, then add your switch to that. My best guess is that your shortcut is currently set to the "autorun.exe." If that isn't it, let us know and we'll go from there.

Wow is right! What an awesome tip. How the heck do people know this stuff?
