In old harpoon, there was a setting where you could have time compression revert on certain conditions (contact detected, weapon launch etc)
Is there a similar function in Command?

But even with the pop up enabled, it would be nice if there was an option to continue in 1:1 time--now the options are either pause or revert to previous compression rate.

Once you get the popup window, you can hit the keypad enter key and drop the time to 1:1 even while it is still on pause and the popup is still open.

True. But I mostly play on my laptop so the num-pad is not an option. The only non-num pad time option I'm aware of is F12=pause.

I think in that case you will have to use the Time Compression pull-down to get it back to 1:1. It's a bit of a pain on a laptop without a keypad but it can still be done after the pop-up pauses the game. It would probably be pretty easy to add an option to the popup window to "return to 1:1 time".

When a popup appears, I click "Close" and after the "numeric pad Enter" and finally "F12". All in a fast, and automatic, sequence.
"Close" -> "numeric pad Enter" -> "F12"
