Israeli forces breakthrough Egyptian border defense in several sectors, though the center holds against Israeli attacks. Airstrikes have not done the damage we were hoping for against Egyptian tank forces

Breaking news.....
Israeli forces have broken through Egyptian lines in Sinai, meeting light resistance. IAF conducted bombing/strafing runs against Egyptian forces. The Egyptian air force is no where to be found. It appears the Egyptians have pulled their tank forces back across the Suez canal.

Israeli High Command
the EAF (Egyptian air force) in Sinai was defeated, but their airforce is still intact and intelligence suggests they are on the western side of the canal. Our air force is not strong enough yet to conduct major air operations on that side of the canal, so we are ordering our forces to stop short of the Suez, and stop advance 45 miles from there.
The victory in the Sinai while not yet complete is almost assured, but the war is far from over. The Egyptians still have a powerful punch left in them and we are not going to get lulled into a sense of an easy victory.

Israeli high command
this last round saw Israeli forces advancing deeper into the Sinai, but stopping a distance from the canal. Recon flights picked up tank units rebuilding near Suez city, also during the recon flight a small air-battle took place but loses were small.
recon flight also showed that the Egyptians have acquired tank destroyers which could turn out to be a problem. It maybe in our best interest to stop, dig in and prepare for the inevitable Egyptian counter-offensive as we have acquired all our objectives in this theater.
Hopefully time is on our side and will allow us to build up our air force, but always in war the unexpected should be expected.
