I've seen references to version 1.01. I've got 1.0 and don't see any patch anywhere--the updater does not work (I have never gotten it to work for any Matrix games) and when I log into Matrix's website to get the patch manually, it says that no updates are available?

That would appear to be it, thanks. Strange that it is not available in the Matrix member's area, where I thought that patches were supposed to be available?

To be true, I learned there was a 1.01 patch in the middle of a game, by chance through one error message. It should be announced and made sticky...

It did, it's just I didn't know there was an update, cause there were no dedicated thread to it, so I did not guess I had to try to update 24 hours after the launch.

I know there had been some issues at the time of launching, but I didn't know either how critical they were for playing or that a patch had been created.

Once I knew they were important, and that there was a patch, I used that option and the instalation went fine.

Glad to hear that. Of course the original plan was your auto-update would have discovered it and downloaded and installed it. I'm sure this will perform better as we progress.

As for getting a patch as soon as you install? How can that be bad? It shows how committed the development team is to getting you the best available product.

I probably have 15 Matrix games, and have never been able to get the updater to work for any of them. Presumably some kind of firewall issue, but I've never been bothered to spend the time to figure it out.

Usually, but not always, patches are available in the members' section of Matrix site; after you've logged in it shows your games and which ones have patches. There often seems to be quite a long time between when a patch comes out and when it shows up in the members' section.

It is showing up in the patches section now at least.

I didn't have any problems with the updater. I found a clue that one might be available when I looked at the files on the download and saw v1.01, v1.02....... Only v1.01 showed up as a patch?

Try turning off your virus protection while running the updater. I use McAfee (my internet service provides it for free). I've had problems with downloads with other virus protection programs including Norton's when the downloads are very recently available and not many have used them yet.

There is no 1.0.2 patch. Only 1.0.1. Perhaps that shows up as 1.01 on the list. But even so, there shouldn't be a 1.02.
