Confirmation pages lost when main form is placed on second monitor.

Note this problem only happens when I put the main form onto a second monitor. When the main form is left on my primary screen it works normally. This has happened at 2 different points in the tutorials. I cannot remember where the first instance happened. However with the second instance I have reproduced it several times.
Every time I do the interactive tutorial on unit setup, when I get to page 8 and go to merge the convoys, the confirmation page gets lost and I cannot respond to it. I have to cntl alt del just to shut the game down.
Note in both instances it was when a confirmation page was supposed to pop up and didn't that I could not do anything in the game at all. The game is waiting for the confirmation but alas it is not to be found. I would really hope there is some way to fix this since I really want the primary page to only hold the map.
My primary monitor is 1920x1080 the second monitor is 1024x768.

This problem occurs because of the different sizes of your monitors and where you place the Main form.
For now, the work around is what you described, putting the Main form on your larger monitor.
Look at the Player Interface settings (a Main form drop-down menu). It will show you what the program considers your primary and secondary monitors and the left/right/top/bottom numbers. Using Windows to switch which monitor is primary may work. But that's a lot of trouble and very annoying to have to do for just one game.
I have this on my task list already, but it is not a high priority. Medium, yes, but not high.

In the meantime, as someone who has messed around quite a bit with screen layouts and multiple monitors, please allow me to make the following suggestions:
1. Although it costs a bit of vertical real estate, always keep the Main form above the Detailed Map. Yes there is some unused space to the right of the main form, but that's a good place for the Screen Layout and Map View windows.
2. When using a second monitor, put the Main Form and Detailed Map on the left. For me this meant ensuring my largest monitor was the one on the left.
