Is there a possibility?
If I set the depth manually to surface they just stay there, if I leave the depth to the AI they dive immidiately.
Is there a way to have them on the surface until spotted or attacked by aircraft?

Lol, subs with deck guns pull some weird stunts...
I had a AI boat surface and dive and surface and dive to troll a US destroyer and pepper him with gunfire

IIRC the submarine AI does prevent them from staying on surface or periscope depth with enemies nearby unless absolutely necessary to recharge, correct?
