There is the possibility to display LOS and LOF from a given HEX/unit on the map. While i can understand that it is possible to have LOS without LOF i encountered situation where i had no LOS to a hex but a LOF. Is this intentional?

killkess, can you get a screen shot of both overlays or more info on what unit(s) did it and where? Helicopters had an LOS/LOF issue which is now fixed in 2.02. That sounds odd but we need to see more details to know if it is a bug or not.
