Fast Start Barbarossa- align minors

Why can't both Finland and Hungary be aligned? After I select one and place the units the align form disappears.
What's your Strategy?

Best reason to wait a little when aligning Finland is that until you put their guys on the board, they exist in a kind of Heisenberg uncertainty principle space; they can be setup anywhere within the Finnish territory. Once you align them and set them up, you're stuck with where you deployed them, and the Soviets can quickly move to counter you.
Keep them unaligned and you can keep the Soviets guessing, which means you can set up to pounce on any weaknesses that develop.

Makes sense. Thanks.

Two things:
a) yes, that was a good point Ur_Vile-WEdge.
b) Mo Reb what happened to the wonderful Missouri?
But if you align Finland during the first impulse then they might be able to make use of a surprised USSR.ORIGINAL: Missouri_Rebel

Then I am not a good USSR player. I can seldom defend the border against Finland so they can't cause mischief in the Barbarossa scenario.ORIGINAL: Klydon
Finland is going nowhere against a good Russian player. I find it more handy to align Hungary first. They can set up and slip in behind the Russian border positions in Poland (or force the Russians to move units around to watch them).
