Two British bombers start a strike from Harwich to Essen. One is a 7 extended range Bomber the other an 8 range bomber. The 7ex bomber is counted as extended range. Distance Harwich<->Essen is dist6 in my book.

When the British bombers return to base, they are recommended [47,29] as the closest hex (dist7), but all the south-eastern most hexes of Britain are closer (dist6). I think there is something wrong with counting the sea hexes in the Channel. I have not seen such things when overland so far.

Belgium and Netherlands looks neutral to me and then you are not allowed to fly over those countries. Flying around them make the distance 8 hexes.

True, it is the start of the game! Thanks!
Perhaps a indicator for the route taken would be good.
