I've created 4 scenarios so far for Command Ops. The Battle for Champs is my third scenario. Details below. The files for download are available on my blog here.

Scenario Description:

The Battle for Champs occurred on December 25th, 1944. Elements of two German divisions assaulted the western side of the Bastogne perimeter through the driving snow in attempt to take the American defenders by surprise on Christmas morning.

Scenario Notes:

- I created this map using the in-game editor. It is based on the Battle of Champs map found in the Osprey Books campaign title "Ardennes 1944."

- The OOB is the historical composition of forces for the battle.

- The German side includes elements of the 15th PZG Division and the 26th VolksGrenadier division.

- The American force consists of 1/502 and part of 1/327th.

- The scenario is 1 day and 10 hours long.

- Weather: Snowing.

Played it as Allies and really liked it. Needed SEPs adding in. Hope you don't mind but I also modified it by adding a few hours to make it up to 2 days (I realise you didn't like this for realism purposes, but it balances it well, I think for gameplay) plus changed the starting positions of Axis units so that HQ and support units were not in front line positions, which I thought was more realistic, but if you had historical info as to the initial placement of units then I would certainly stick with that. I also took the fatigue levels down a level (you had them as 'fresh'). Still 'good', which I think would be pushing it historically, given the allies were rushed in and had to dig in etc. Though I admit it's nice the way they snap to it when fresh, I have the impression everyone was trashed and knackered - probably 'OK' would be more accurate a level, but I left it at good. I can send you my adjusted .cos if you like, Cap, then you won't have to bother adding in the SEPs yourself? Just PM me your email.
