We seemed to have resolved this issue.

Trying to restore game we get the ok prompts but then nothing. My opponent clicks ok to restore the game and it says waiting for response.. Then and error pops up.

Sent bug report.

My friend and I have tested this since 1.02 but we have not been able to restore our netplay games. We find each other and get the ok button but then nothing happens. What we DO manage to do is open identical autosaves. But then we end up being the same major power and working simultaneously with the same window and the same counters :p WEIRD!!

The saved games on the two computers are different. One is for the Axis player and the other is for the Allied player. If you sent the other player a copy of the saved game, then this is the result that I would expect.

But if that is not the case, ...
1 - what scenario, turn, phase, subphase, etc. were you in?
2 - was there anything unusal happening in the game when the save was made?
3 - was this an autosave or one that you requested the program make?

1. Barbarossa, autosave general folder - "Setting up Germany.GAM". We restored this game simultaneously on our separate computers and thought we had the riddle figured out. This was the first time we had been able to restore a netplay game. Netplay responded and we could initiate the save on our own end. But we both ended up with Germany as acting side, and we both placed counters on the map in each others view. This was nice for me as I played russia in this game, but not very fair.
2/3 Regular Autosave.

edit: We didn't copy the file or anything like that. We only opened our save on each end at the same time.

Thank you for the feedback.[&o] It wasn't what I wanted to hear.[:D] But I should be able to reproduce this without difficulty and then fix it.

The real problem is still not being able to restore saved games.

The thing with the mirror game restored from simultaneous saves should not have high priority :D

Open the saved games with Notepad. Near the top you'll see the player names. Check to see if the letters in the names of the players are in the exact same upper or lower case as the names in your NetPlayReg.txt files.

A mismatch in the case used for the player names was found to be the problem in a similar situation. Looks like the Log-in to NetPlay forum doesn't care about case but the start-up and load of the two game files does. Easiest fix is to change the case of the names in the NetPlayReg.txt file to match the way they are in the game file.
