What was really offensive is that someone said Minnesota was Iowa sorry just can't tolerate that. Also enjoyed the Americans trying to label Europe . Although I will give credit to us. About 98% could locate the UK,France, Germany and Italy . Sadly tho Russia seems to be Unlocatable.

I really wouldn't expect Europeans to know much about U.S. state geography. Why should they?

Well at least some Brits were able to say where Canada is...............sadly most Americans (who live next door to us) could not!

On my honeymoon in the state of Louisianna in Baton Rouge, 30 years ago, I was asked by a truck driver at a local diner who claimed he drives to all 4 corners of the USA delivering goods, if Boeing 747s can land in airports in Canada......................I simply replied only if they are equipped with snow skies or water skies as we do not have paved airports per se...................he went on to ask me if our roads were paved because he could never get deliveries into Canada thinking he needed special tires...............I understand that I may have met a "fluke" but still?

And then in England at a a Pub just north of London, a patron started belittling me as a Canadian because we hunted those baby seals and we should be ashamed of ourselves.....I went on to reply that we do not let multiple hordes of dogs chase a wee little fox while we damper in luxury on a horse and spread the foxes blood on our faces as a sign of Elitism.........He quietly went back to his seat and left me alone.

In France I was asked how many Moose I see a day when I go in to work...........

Anyhow thank goodness that is the absolute 1% of the population we bump into as I have had some of my best times with my Yank, French and British friends.
