Formation Editor : grid and preview

When editing a formation, it's difficult to obtain clean, symetric formation.
I've read posts about tricks to manage things with RPs but it's not yet comfortable or quick.

Why not provide a resizable grid (as a background, or template) to give some guidance ?
I agree, it's inspired from H... but would keep the CMANO philosophy while making things easier.

Also, it would be useful to be able to see what it's going to look like when you have changed several stations, including the ranges. Some preview mode in other words.
