Foreign intervention

What can be expected in case of foreign intervention?
Due to bad luck in scripted events(I didn't loose any battle in significant way, no key location was conceded to enemy) in late Dec '61 my opponent have +67 foreign intervention.
What can I expect?

Asked this a few post back, doesn't appear many folks have experienced anything. I was curious to see what forces were sent.

It happens very rarely, as in RL. AI takes over British, and they mainly conduct their operations form Canada. So no common battle line for CSA and the Brits, as it is expected there would be none in RL too.

My current game has been running in the 60s for most of the time (in mid-1864 now). No Brits or French yet. I wouldn't worry too much about that number. When you start winning battles, and when the Proclamation comes up, that number will change.

So am I correct in thinking, that it isn't percentage chance but it is necessary to reach +100 to trigger intervention?

Yes. Before it gets there you could get subsides, but no entry until you get to +100.
Note that if it ever gets to -100, they will never intervene.
Once either +100 or -100 is reached, it can't be influenced further.

What can I expect?
France and England will join the Confederates with ships and troops. Not war deciding, but really a nice boost of troops.
