I run the install and everything works fine till just after enetering the serial key. The setup program put's an icon on the desktop, then the setup dialog box stops. Task Manager reports the setup program as running.

As a point of reference, I tried installing the program on an old Windows XP machine and it works fine. It concludes with the Matrix setup finished screen and then changes the image used for the shortcut on the desktop.

If I use task manager to end the setup program in Windows 8.1, NCP seems to start OK but goes straight to the application itself, and doesn't run the Matrix "PLAY" screen as is traditionally the case with all my other Matrix purchases.

Any advice/help on this matter?

As an update on this, In Task Manager, if I end the AGE Settings background process, but not the actual setup program that is running, then the setup process finishes OK and the desktop shortcut changes as it does on my other machine, enabling the Matrix "PLAY" screen to appear after launching NCP.

The problem would appear to be with the AGE settings application. At this point I am clueless as to why it doesn't run OK with Windows 8.1
