Game freeze partial solution

I, like others, have had the game freeze because a screen with a needed button is behind some other screen.

I have found a solution that sometimes works: minimize MWIF to Windows (assuming you are running WIndows), and then restore it. This may put the needed window on top, allowing you can continue with your game. This does not always work, but does work sometimes, and is so simple that it should always be tried.

Another thing I try in this event is to roll up the detail map (or other forms sometimes) to see if something is underneath them.

The "roll-up/down" is the arrow in the top left of the title bar.

Paul, thatm may help many times, but in my case, what happened was that I rolled it up and down and the missed screen didn't appear, there was an issue with the display (like screen "shown" out of computer screen). It's no longer happening to me, I don't know if the patches solved it or my random search through my OS visual options till I found the one I am using...

Just curious - what are you now using with success? How many monitors, what resolution, what is their placement - Primary on the right or left? Do you set Windows for "extended desktop" or something else? Which monitor has the Detailed Map, which one has the Global Map and which one has the Main Form, and is it placed above the Detailed Map? Finally are you typically using more than one Detailed Map?

Thanks.

The main form and the primary detailed map need to be on the main monitor and both forms should be on the same monitor. Anything else can be placed on any monitor. I have two montiors. My secondary monitor is to the left of my main one. As long as I have the main form and the primary detailed map on my main monitor, I can move everything else around and the game works fine.

10-4 thanks Numdydar, that's what I've found as well.
