Japanese industry screen

I can't get the industry screen - no button and the hot key doesn't work. The manual is silent on it, although the threads are not. I bought the game yesterday, so I don't imagine its a version thing.

What scenario is it? Some scenarios have the industry disabled. Don´t know if that would make the button disappear though.
Have you updated to the latest version? That is pretty much a must do thing!

The industry screen was added with one of the early patches. The button doesn't exist in the original version of the game. If you haven't upgraded to the latest version yet, I strongly recommend it. The patches have fixed many many bugs as well as add quite a few significant features.

Yes but I bought it fresh from the grower yesterday. Surely I don't need to buy a stock product then look for patches released some time ago?

Yes. Register it and then download the latest official patch. Then I would strongly suggest the latest beta patch after that.

When you buy a game you get the 1.00 version. The version that was sent out for distribution when the game was first released. Been like that forever. Patches are then added afterwards by the developers to sort out bugs and/or add content. Been like that since the early 1990s (or even earlier) [:)]

Doesn't the WITP Launcher have an 'update' button? It's been literally years since I've seen the launcher, but most launchers do...and I thought "ours" did.
