Corps commanders

Hello. First-time poster. I am mid-way through 1863 and am still unable to create corps commanders for the Union. Is this a bug or human error? I seem to be doing everything right, but the corps option isn't highlighting. Can you help?

Have you upgraded to latest patch.

I added a patch a little while ago. Has there been one recently? I just tried to check, but it wouldn't work for me.

So you have no ideas how I can fix this? How about a reinstall?

The patch is not save compatible. So, if you upraded it after the game was started, it will not be fixed.
You would have to start the game from 61 in order for patch to work. I would upgrade to 1.02 and start a new game.

Let me ask, is the guy your trying to promote in a stack? He has to be solo, and in range of an army commander, and be 2 star or better, in order to promote. Who are you promoting? Where is he? Where is the neaest army?
