I am playing Germany, the grand campaign.

I am talking about the 4 (?) larger rail road units that I can control. 1 in the south, 2 in the center and 1 in the north. I'm not talking about the smaller ai controlled construction units. Somewhere near Minsk some of them can move but not transform railroad any longer. The RCC button says "-" instead of a MP cost number. The hex has yet not been transformed. As far as I understand the units are in ok supply. It is far behind the front and they are right next to a transformed rail head so they ought to be the best supplied units in the german army atm.

One of the units managed to transform a few hexes but then with 8 MP left it could't any longer. One can't transform with full MP. The others could. It is fair weather. The one that transformed has 0range circles with the 1 indicator in them as normal. The one that has full MP has green railroad circles behind him that has 3 white dots in them running diagonally. Never seen these before.

Why can't I build more railroad with these units? They are paramount to my offensive beyoned Minsk and towards Leningrad.

I can give you the obvious answer or teach you how to find it.

99% sure the answer is near Vilnius. However, just clear your map of everything except RR hexes and manually confirm each converted hex and find which direction the next one goes. You'll find a skipped hex that you missed. Vilnius hex is the biggest oversight amongst players.

I was playing a Barbarossa 41 game and I did the exact thing. I could not for the world figure out what I was doing. I bet it was 4 or more moves till it dawned on me to check the rail line and sure enough I had missed one. Joe.

Thanks. I had missed the hex South-West of Vilnius. the other one is 5 hexes away from the railhead and I guess that is the limit. Won't make the same mistake again.

If WitE was on Steam with achievements, the "I have missed the Vilnius rail hex" would be one of the most awarded
