Question about asking for smugglers.

Question about smugglers...
My staff advisors ask me if I want to enter into an agreement with smugglers to supply cargo to a needing planet.
Does the cause a hit on reputation?
It sounds like I am being asked to enter into a shipping arrangement MORE than a piracy smuggling arrangement.
A shipping arrangement should not hit on reputation. Smuggling drugs or arms SHOULD really cause a reputation
hit...
So what is the front page on this?
If there is no hit, I may set up a Star Wars version of a UPS -- like Xizor Transport Systems (and use the piracy
portion for his more nefarious schemes)... [:D]
Coming to you live from vacation. .. [8D]

To me you are entering into a contract with a supplier of...well shall we say...poor reputation. IE you don't want to know how the supplier came to be in possession of the goods, you are turning a blind eye to the fact it was probably stolen.
After all, ignorance is bliss. [:D]

Ah... he is a supplier, not just a runner.
That distinction is VERY helpful.

Technically, those smuggler missions are rather open in terms of who exactly does the supplying. All you're really doing is offering to pay market price + x for some resource. Buying stuff at overprice through unofficial channels isn't exactly much of a reputation killer, is it?

Maybe if the empire from which the smugglers acquired the stuff find out about it, they would not be happy.
