Global War - Internet Play
We have found several issues with Internet play that make playing impossible as it is....
Declaration of War (Poland) – in many cases (not all) this causes a loop for the US Entry and they get a zillion rolls.
Declaration of War – 2nd Impulse Axis – If the Axis doesn’t declare war on someone the game won’t proceed.
Port attacks on surprised countries – Either the Turn won’t pass to the other player or locks up when the non-phasing player is supposed to pick a ship to abort/damage/destroy.
Game regularly locks up when one side clicks done and then it doesn’t advance to the other players phase... happens all over in just about every phase. Random.
Suggestion: Look at TRIPLEAAA Axis and ALLIES (I can’t post a link for you). This is a site for internet play of Axis and Allies variants that is very good. It is very hard to find and play games over the internet as you have it coded. Mainly because it is next to impossible to play even if you have your opponent on the phone as you try to set up everything.
Suggestion: Allow One player to load the saved game (As you do when starting a game). Finding the exact game saved a the same point in time is difficult. (Even with the ID # there) because you have to save at the exact same moment to have the same ID #. This causes the gamers to often have to revert back to an earlier phase/impulse to find a matching game when we crash. This really blows if you got a critical Roll or something important happens and then the game crashes.
I really hope you get this going… the Potential is huge for a lot of fun….
