Attached is a zip file with an exe hotfix for one issue that came up with the 1.07.12 public beta version. Just unzip this into the directory with your WarInTheEast.exe file. Because this is not an installer version, the only way you will know that this is the 1.07.13 version is by looking on the lower right of the main menu screen.

This exe has one change:

Fixes a bug with the supply system which was being more restrictive than it should by requiring that HQs have to be within 25 hexes / 100 MP of their supply dump city. It now correctly requires that HQs be within 25 hexes / 100 MP of the railhead.

When I try to run (from the new shortcut)the .12 beta or the hotfix I get an error code and a message saying my code is incorrect. If I use the old shortcut I can load .12 beta OK but not the hotfix.

What am Idoing wrong?

And thank you to Pelton and Moraevel for flushing this one out. I am playing Kelblau (sp)as Axis and noticed a huge change but thought to myself Pelton will figure this one out!

You have to unzip this file and replace the file of the same name in your WitE installation folder. If your Operating System is Vista or higher and you installed it in c:\program files you most likely get a popup requiring an additional confirmation to do so.
There is no option to use either .12 or .13 unless you rename the .13 file (and place it in the WitE folder afterwards) and create a new shortcut to it or you copy the whole WitE folder to a new location, replace the .exe and start from there.

I installed and unzipped to my game directory, replacing the existing file. when running this file, it still says .12 on the main menu. What am I doing wrong?

It is still .12beta, only exe file was changed. Check in the lower right corner. You should see there Exe File version 1.07.13
