Playing the Global campaign in the Solitaire mode, the French has a sub in the Western Med. The Italians commit a Nav air unit to that sea zone during the Naval Air phase.

Following the Italian Naval move, the combat sequence between that sub and Nav unit occur. Not committing the sub to the fight crashes the game. I duplicated this 4 times with the attached savegame.

1. Load the save game and you should be in the Italian Naval move phase. Click the green button to continue. (You might want to center the map over the western med when the game comes up.)

2. Once the green button is clicked, a pop-up appears for Italy to decide which sea area to initiate combat. Click the "Initiate Combat" button then click "Yes" on the next pop-up.

3. You will be in the Italian "Init Naval Air Supp" phase, just click the green button'

4. Now you will be in the German "Init Naval Air Supp" phase. Again just click the green button,

5. A pop-up appears for the "Phasing Naval Combat: Commit subs" phase. Click the No button.

6. Click the "OK" on the next pop-up as it appears and the game will then crash.

I want to add that if you choose not to initiate combat in step 2, the game will also crash; or if you carry it on thru and commit the subs and go through the battle sequence, the game crashes as you advance to the next phase of the game. So this French sub and Italian air unit just don't want to play nice.
