PACOPS – Pacific Theater Operations

The PACOPS team is building the foundation to reflect historical World War II Pacific Theater land combat operations in the Command Ops engine.
Since team members are located in the US, the initial land combat operations will be focused on the Third and Fifth Fleet – supported US Marine Corps / US Army counter attack in the Central Pacific.
The initial scenario design will focus on the invasion of Saipan in the Marianas Islands. In 1944 securing Saipan was considered necessary to protect secure US Navy supply routes from Japanese fleet interdiction, and to serve as the location for first bomber base for B-29 strategic bombing of the Japanese mainland.
Initial products include a conversion of a basic topographical map of Saipan with MapMaker, and the Marine Corps order of battle for the initial invasion, and the Japanese Imperial Army and Japanese Imperial Navy ground defense forces defending the island with the Estab editor.
Release of the final Saipan scenario is planned for summer next year.

Hello Todake,
Thank you for your interest in this project.
The mod is still active with a great deal of recent work having been done by Jim Carravallah. I have some work to put in as well after a brief period of inactivity (real life stuff) and hope to have some updates to post here as well as on the
PACOPS dedicated blog.
Please check back soon for an update.

hey, im not so familiar in reworking or modding such a game, but im intersted in doing that, maybe in near future.

i thought about real images\photos from top down,...is this possible to do so?
2)realy nice work as i said before,.... hope you will be making much more then only one szenario...
