Is this the correct setting for wide screen?

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -px1920 –py1200

I got a 23 inch monitor and using this setting am getting just a distorted (stretched) screen instead of the true widescreen. Did I miss something?

Thanks

The second - looks long, not short.

Also, maybe 1920 x 1080 is your monitor default.

I don't play full screen but this setting works good:
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w -px1600 -py900 -deepColor -cpu2 -skipVideo -multiaudio -archive

My laptop resolution is 1920 x 1080.

Speaking of strange monitors, I've got one that is 10.5 inches by 23.5 inches. When I see the game, it doesn't fill the screen's width but it does fill the height. If I try to use the full screen it only stretches the existing screen, it doesn't add any hexes to the side, is this something I can correct for, or is my picture doomed to remain the original size with blank screen on either side of the map (about 2.25 inches on either side)? Thanks for any assistance. Hal

Hal,

The size of the screen is irrelevant. The important info is the resolution (no. of pixels) of the display.

Your problem sounds like you are using a window that is the height of your display but not the full width. Full screen just 'stretches' the window to the full screen area.

Check your owners manual (or a google search on the model number) and find the native resolution of your display. Use these numbers in your command line and it should fill your display properly.
