Hi All,
I gave South China Clash a try, here's the AAR:

Somewhat to my surprise the PLAN SAG didn't put up as much of a fight as I was expecting. Also, one thing that really surprised me was the Chinese Coast Guard vessel actually shot anti-ship missiles at the fishing fleet it was supposed to protect!

Thanks for doing this. The input helps.
Will take a look at the Chinese Coast Guard vessel issue.
Thanks!

The first time it fired, the fishing vessel was in the same general area as the target the CCG was engaging, the BRP Artemio Ricarte. Right after the Ricarte sunk, two more ASMs were fired, but the fishing vessel that was hit was nowhere near any hostile vessels. The nearest "hostile" was the Emilio Jacinto, but the Jacinto was maybe 120 degrees away in azimuth.

The Yuan was armed with the C-802's so that's the likely shooter. These do have active seekers so it likely found a target.

Thanks for posting this!
This blue-on-blue is actually a good example of why naval powers are gradually moving away from earlier-generation autonomous ASMs (Harpoon, Exocet, TASM, most Chinese ASCMs etc.), and adopting weapons which either include positive control (man in the loop, mid-course updates etc.) and/or feature extensive autonomous AI for avoiding slamming into unwanted targets (e.g. LRASM). Fighting in the littoral or in busy waterways means you can no longer afford to just shoot a salvo of Harpoons and hope for the best.

So will mark this one WAD. These are missile shots which the active seekers are seeking valid targets which unfortunately aren't the correct ones which is a real life limitation with these missile types.

Yeah, I didn't really think of this as a bug--I thought it was either a mistake (as in they were firing on one of the Philippine ships, missed, and the missiles just looked for the nearest target), or that it was part of the scenario, i.e., the Chinese did it intentionally.

No. I've been thinking about some updates for this scenario anyways. The point was really to show the strengths and weakness of each side. Might adjust some things.
Think some work on Duelists is probably a greater priority though
