Naval interception bug?

In the CW Naval movement phase of Nov/Dec-39 something quite bizarre happened. After moving a TRANS loaded with a MOT accompanied by 3 CA from Gibraltar to East Med, Italy failing its interception, the TRANS docked in Haifa, leaving the Cruisers in the 3 section of East Med. Next I moved a CON and two CL's from Malta to the East Med, and this time the italians search succeeded. Choosing to stop my movement, I placed the CON and the CL's in the 0 section. As I exited the form the TRANS+MOT and the CA's from the last move suddenly appeared in the 0 section alongside the CON and CL's[&:] Not having saved since restructuring the CW convoy pipeline, I didn't want to redo the moves and tried to undo the TRANS move, and now it ended up in Malta as if it had aborted the sea area (but without the choice of where to dock...)???!! This HAS got to be a bug, its like the second interception retroactively stops the first naval movement. Anybody got a clue to what could have happened?

No idea.

I put it on my list of things to try to reproduce. If you can reproduce this and attach a saved game (with instructions) to a post in this thread, then that would help me a lot.

Steve - this might be related to the case where an intercepting Dutch sub, and dropping of a transport while continuing the naval move gave weird results as well.
