My reply was apparently eaten by the Internet so here is attempt two.
The range is a mash up of communication, support from engineering, support from supply and operational range of the units.

Quick question while I wait for the patch, Why is the West German command radius larger then the US? You would think it would be the other way around?

Home field advantage. Seriously, you are dealing with a very well trained force, who grew up in the region, and will be fighting in their own back yards, literally. You are welcome to change it in your data file if you think we have if wrong.

I didn't say it was wrong, just curious why.

I'll admit that I see the West German Army of the 80s from stories, info, and personal accounts from a couple friends over there at the time was nothing but focused and professional. They knew the game was going to be played on their soil and they had their focus on that. The other forces US/British are well trained, but they were there to slow the advance enough to keep the Soviets from reaching the Atlantic. I'm just glad it never went hot. I'm also sorry if I sounded defensive. Didn't mean too. Damn flu bug has had me beat down for a few days now and the update and files getting delayed on our end did not help things this week.

No problem Capn Darwin, I wasn't offended. Getting ready to leave for Ft Hood, and I think I'm starting to get the flu bug.
