Getting closer to something I might actually buy. The lack of widescreen (what on earth was this developed with?!) and the Global Space Agency stuff were huge turn-offs - if I want fantasy I'll play Kerbal. My real remaining concern is the morph from one game into three that seems to have happened at some point since the early access started. No way - what's on and will be on offer is one game, and it should be completed and sold as such.

Hint to Matrix/Slitherene.. you want to make more money from this, release a full-featured, attractive product that might rival Kerbal, and sell it more widely. Don't try and fleece, and fleece again, a small band of loyal, existing customers.

Glad to hear that! [:)]

Sorry, but I'm not quite following you on this one. What we're doing is effectively adding two new campaigns, which will be distributed with part 1 of the game and that all players will get on top of the existing GSA campaign. Can you elaborate a little bit more on what you mean?

Cheers,

The game has always been 3 episodes because of the sheer volume of craft and renders to cover everything. Episode 1 goes to the moon. 2 goes to the ISS and 3 to the future and Mars. Nothing has changed here so I think its some misunderstanding?

@Ignacio,

Hi. I think Ian has clarified; I was was referring to to future ISS and Mars parts, not the US and Soviet campaigns for 'Race to the Moon'.

@Ian,

Hi. If so, I apologize.

What is the position regarding the purchase options? 'Mercury' is not unreasonable at the current price, but I would feel decidedly less amused if $99 still only bought into the first third of the game! It really isn't remotely clear, to me anyway, if that's the case or not?

Will parts two and three be expansions or higher priced 'stand alone' expansions?

BTW, kudos for at least charging less than the anticipated release price for early access. That's more than half those selling half-baked alphas on Steam seem to be doing these days.

No problem. Just to be completely clear: the decision to split SPM in three parts was taken in mid-2012, way before the project was announced to the public and more than one year before the Early Access Program started at the end of October 2013. Nothing has changed after that regarding parts 2 and 3. The only change is that we're now including two new campaigns and multiplayer support in part 1 for the same cost.

The Early Access Program only covers part 1. This is stated in the second paragraph from the Early Access Program (EAP) page. Buying the $99 gets you part 1 plus some extras. Again, this is stated in the EAP webpage.

They will be expansions that will be added to on top of part 1. We don't have plans at the moment to do them as stand-alone products, but that might change. We are focused on finishing part 1 first [:)]

Fair enough; I hadn't read the pages over at Slitherine. I'm afraid I won't be joining project 'Apollo' anytime soon, though!
