The great tour of the Malasian Penisula

I'm having strong success as the British taking back Malasia. I'm trying to strategic move several units (both combat and non-com) from various locations to Kuala Lumpur (which I control and have about 35,000 combat and non-combat troops stationed at). There is a recently routed group of Japanese units to the Southeast of Kuala Lumpur being tied down by an East Africa Division but is not blocking the rail line from the North.

When I try and strategic move units by rail to Kuala Lumpur (from any location in Malaysia) they go on a great circular tour of the Malasian peninsula. Stopping in Kuala Lumpur and then continuing on a counter-clockwise circle up to Singora and then back to Alor Star to Penang to Kuala Lumpur and then back to Singora in an endless travel loop. Strangely enough, I can change their move destination, while they are in Strategic mode and in a non-base hex, to any other location in Malaysia or even Bangkok where they move to and stop.

I suspect that it is either an undocumented in the annals of history Army-level holiday ramble or perhaps a bug. I am using the latest version of the Beta on a Windows 7 machine. Thanks.

Some movement is all about who controls the hexsides. You can't move across a hexside that is not in your control in strategic mode, neither can you move out of a hex across one you do not control in any other mode but you can move in. Hit W and these controls will be visible, green for Allies, red for Japan. green/red for neither.

PS Added by a patch.
