Duelling Hills - A bunch of SPH2H scenarios for PBEM
Posted: Thu Oct 31, 2002 11:05 pm
This is a set of 8 similar (and non-historical) scenarios designed for head to head play using SPH2H. They are set in the Alps and use part of the Lochau/Bregenz map by Fradar, to whom I say thank you for making such a great map for me to play around with
You might like to think of these scenarios as "off-the-shelf" set-piece generated battles. They are roughly balanced and are definitely difficult to get a decisive result on. The idea is to reward skill in playing rather than buying ...
Anyway what do we have?
Late war:
Germany vs USSR, May 1945 high visibility version
Germany vs USSR, May 1945 low visibility version
US vs Germany, May 1945 high visibility version
US vs Germany, May 1945 low visibility version
Post war hypothetical:
US vs USSR, July 1945 high visibility version
US vs USSR, July 1945 low visibility version
Britain vs USSR, July 1945 high visibility version
Britain vs USSR, July 1945 low visibility version
You can also download the whole lot in one zip file.
High visibility is 60, low visibility is 15 (and it's night time). The games are designed for C&C On but obviously will work without it
All other Realism Settings should be On. The map is 100x80 hexes and there are 40 turns.
Here is a sample OOB from one game:
Germany
1 Heavy Tank Platoon (Tiger)
1 Heavy Tank Section (Koenigstiger)
1 Medium Tank Co (Panther, PzKpfw IVh)
1 Tank Destroyer Platoon (JPz IV/70, Hetzer)
1 Assault Gun Section (StuH-42)
1 88mm AT Gun Section
1 75mm AT Gun Section
3 SS Infantry Companies (StG 44)
1 Standard Infantry Company
1 Mechanised Pioneer Platoon
1 Off-board Artillery Battery (105mm)
1 Medium Mortar Platoon (81mm)
USSR
1 Heavy Tank Co (IS-3, IS-2M)
1 Medium Tank Co (T-44, T-34/85)
1 Heavy Tank Destoyer Platoon (SU-100, SU-85M)
1 Assault Gun Section (SU-122)

1 57mm AT Gun Section
3 Guards Infantry Companies (Tokarev M40 SVT)

Thanks
