During peace time, turns can take less than a minute. You may wish to upgrade the economy of a province, purchase some units or cast a spell. Sometimes you will need to make some decisions based on Events occurring around your realm: new spells, patrons of the arts/science or trade route offers. If you're at war, turns can take considerably longer...especially when you're zooming into tactical battles. Each tactical battle can take 5-10 minutes.
Good Hunting!

Thanks Breca,
Does the campaign have a set time limit or does it last until someone 'Actually' wins... Are there different victory conditions.
As I've said; this looks real nice.

The game offers two main Victory Conditions: World Conquest and Campaign Missions.
World Conquest: is more of a sandbox. Choose a setting. Conquer 35%, 50, 75%, 100% of the map. Expand how you see fit. Win.
Campaign Missions: are hand-crafted missions, unique to each Realm, its culture, its history, and its secret desires. Objectives are complex, with all objectives needing to be met to win. Some realms are more belligerent and direct. They may expand toward specific targets, seek to destroy certain realms, raise units with certain medals, and so on. Some realms may have economic or magical objectives. Others may have more subtle (and difficult) missions, a "hidden hand behind the throne" role of propping up another realm.
For example, Crivia, a tiny but wealthy and influential city-state is buffered from other realms by the Boruvian Empire. While the Empire is seen as old and decadent, and while her former glory is fading, Boruvia remains the center of civilization, diplomacy and art in Sovereignty. Crivia uses this to advance its own ambitions, propping up the Boruvian Empire, while undermining Great Powers that would threaten the natural order of things...

Battles have turn limits. The Campaign is open-ended "when you win..."
