[486] Mission .. Strike .. Air Intercept

Build: 486
Scenario: Custom
Issue: Set 2 fighters to be on a Strike -> Air Intercept mission which launches when a hostile aircraft is detected. Hostile aircraft approaches and overflies their base as the mission fighters launch. Fighters form up and pursue but only go LOITER speed, too slow to catch up to the CRUISEing target.

Is the hostile target a fast one? This usually happens when the intercept calculations show that the aircraft does not have enough fuel to pursue at cruise/full/flank throttle.

It was cruising at 480kts and had already passed over the interceptor's base (so a receding target) but not by far.

If the player could manually override speed throttle by pressing F2, this problem will be solved, (if it is a problem).
That's why I made a post about this, because I also belive it can be a error, but I was told it was the way designed to be, once the aircraft is on a Mission you don't control his speed anymore. ( I mean, once the aircraft status is different to on plotted course, you cannot manually change his speed by pressing F" button.,

Hi all,
I have noticed a possibly related issue whilst playing the Hold the Line scenario with F-15 and Tornado jets, particularly the Tornados. I was going to post in a separate thread but I'll record it here as it seems related. Basically, like the speed issue mentioned above, when either of the two jet types switch to Afterburner, their speed regularly drops to 360 knots. This almost always happens for the Tornados but also occasionally for the F-15s. The other afterburner-capable aircraft in the scenario don't appear to be affected in the same way.
This behavior has been present in Builds 483 to 486. No idea if this behavior is intended or otherwise.
Autosave attached. To recreate issue, select a Tornado or F-15 and select 'Afterburner'.
BTW I've been playing this scenario over the last two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to Gunner98!
