When you right flick or left flick the screen it jumps right back to the center or the starting position of the unit. Also when you tap on a unit to select movement if also jumps if the distance of movement is greater than four or five movement steps.

This doesn't happen for me unfortunately. Is it happening every time you do it? If not can you see a pattern? Is it in specific scenarios, places on the map, with certain units selected or actions you are trying to make?

Yes it happens a lot . I have played each dlc now four times. If you select a unit then tap on a highlighted spot you have a 50/50 chance that the unit will actually move in the other direction. I have spoken to many players who experienced the same thing.
