* New patrol option: Patrol Throttle (default is Loiter/Creep). Units that are following a patrol course inside their patrol area and have no other throttle override obey this throttle setting. This allows customizing patrol behavior for persistence (loiter), maximum area scan (cruise) or special cases that warrant full/flank throttle.

* When an aircraft being re-equipped (at its base) ends up in Winchester status because one or more of the loadout's primary stores are missing, the outfitting is cancelled and the aircraft reverts to Reserve (clean) loadout.
If this is happening interactively (ie. the player has manually ordered this re-equipment) then a notification pop-sup for this; otherwise the action is performed silently.

* Includes new imports by Mike & Jakob (Sweden, UK, New Zealand)

* Includes the v404 version of the CWDB and the v405 version of the DB3000. Additions include:

Will this build fix the viscous freezes and crashes I am experiencing ever since updating to build 488? If not, I want to know how to revert back to a previous build because as of now I have a completely unplayable game. Very frustrating.

Yes this addresses the 488 crashes.

When we release these developmental builds you download and install them at your own risk. You can always wait until 1.03 if you don't want to use them. Some people just like them because they can see new features and db updates early and on our side we have some help testing. There is obviously some risk but it most seem ok with it.

If you ever need to backout you can usually just grab the last good public build and install over. You may have issues with any scenarios you may have built in the meantime as the db files may not be available.

If you want to back out you can go back to 486 here:

Thanks

Mike

I'm seeing the no-start issue occurring reliably 100% w/ B490. I've tracked it down to the .EXE. Reported in Tech Support. Just sayin...

Hi NW,

I've responded to one of your strings

Your issue is likely different.

FYI...I've found that Build 484 is pretty stable. (I keep most of the build .zips in an archive directory; I recommend this.) I was able to "roll back" from 488 to 484 by just copying the files over in the the Command directories. At least, it seems to work on my machine when I did that. I'm pretty optimistic that Build 490 will be stable, too, and I'm downloading it now, but if you have problems with it, 484 may be good option until those problems get figured out. On the bright side, the development team seems to get on these bugs FAST, so either way I doubt the wait will be too long.

I hope this helps.

Mark

Yeah we think we got it. If you don't like 490 just roll back.

Thanks!

Downloaded 490, ran through Choking Halifax twice (got killed both times), and so far it seems stable. Good work, guys!

490 looks good so far. Played for 2 hours with no hang ups.

Seems quite stable, though I had couple of hang-ups with higher time compression and low-end system, with lots of missiles in the air. Was able to resume with no problems.

I for one, want to thank you for releasing the developmental builds to the public! It is definitely worth the
"risk" of occasional bugs not being caught, as the dev team will fix them extremely fast anyway.

Thanks again!

As mentioned in Mods and Scenarios Forums Database Viewer will now also handle inlined photos, but didn't working in B490.
Is that in future builds or something is wrong for me?

Try it again but delete your command.ini file. When you restart it will rewrite that file.

This has solves similar issues like this for other people.

Thanks!
