I was playing my first PBEM game when my opponent has dropped out. The situation is as follows:
Late July 1942. The IJA has invaded Java to find the allies have fortified the island in strength. A 4 division assault from Oosthaven to Merak ends in disaster and is wiped out. A 4(?)+ division assault at Kalajahri pushes inland against week resistance at first, but resistance stiffens and appears to have reached its high water mark. It is slowly getting pushed back. Both navys are intact - the British losing a CV and a couple of BBs, to the IJN losing a small CV or 2. I don't know the economic state, but I think it is ok given comments from the old JFB.

What is the scen/mod please?

Scenario 6 (stock Dec 8). Latest official patch, but I have no issues updating.

A bit more info. My previous opponent looked over my game. China is an absolute mess from the allied perspective. Burma is mostly Japanese, but allies still hold Rangoon. Neither side is strong enough to do anything there but defend. Solomans are at the rough peak of historical Japanese advance and little activity. Allies have a base in the Gilbert's and the turn I last sent back will see allied landings on Tarawa.
Java is the critical theater right now though. A Japanese landing at Merak ended in the destruction of 4 divisions. Another landing took place at Kaldijahri (sorry, I know I'm spelling that wrong). It is in trouble as forces that repulsed the Merek attempt ate fed in. Japan has absolute control of the Java sea, and both navy's are mostly intact.

How many turns a week do you plan on doing?
I haven't played in a couple of years but this looks like a good chance to jump back in.
I just installed the latest beta patch.
I pretty much have always played Japan. Normally an average of a turn a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on real world time commitments.

I am definitely interested.

Java in july ? [X(] I really would try to save this disaster. Does it could be possible to play this scen too even if it's in the same time that another person ?

Sorry, someone on the fence just committed and I don't think I can wrap my head around 2 games so similar. If you are intrested though, if you find another AFB, I'll send you both the game. I guess just use this thread to now find and AFB... I can change the title if you want.

I thought ALL JFB are sadists!

As well as masochists.

So....ummmmmm...we're into S & M as JFB???
