Lock n Load Crashes

Dear All,

Can anyone help please.?

Have purchased and downloaded Lock n Load. Each time I try to run it the game crashes to the desktop AND deletes the short cut and also apparently the executable file.

This means I have to download the game again and start from scratch however I now get an error message saying I have insufficient permissions for any further downloads.

The exe file on the forum has been downloaded and just gives me an error message about a dll file missing and telling me to download the game again - which I can't do.

My system 3.8 GHZ CPU / RAM 8GB / Video Card 6gb AMD Radeon 7570 / Direct x and Video Card driver are as far as I am aware up to date. I am (unfortunately) RUNNING wINDOWS 8

I have contacted SLitherine whom I bought it from but as it is the weekend can someone help please as can't see game working at the moment.

Thank you.

Best Wishes

John

John it sounds like your anti-virus is causing the issue. Try adding an exclusion in the antivirus program to not scan the folder where you have the game installed.

I've got the same problem and I'm not running a virus program. Mine crashes after the first DR for initiation.

Mh1066 are you on a win8 machine?

I would make sure any supporting drivers are loaded. Win8 has very different setup from win7 in font size, media players, etc.. See if you can compare to another win8 user that is up and running.

As I posted in another thread, I think it may be in my case the Logitech M570 mouse. When I played without turning the mouse on it seemed to work fine. Not sure why it would be a problem - I know I have the latest drivers - but I was able to at least get through the tutorials and several impulses of an actual scenario.
