I don't you know which scen you play but from editor, in Scen 1 and 2, type 95 light tank (778) don't upgrade at all.

Although Type 95 Light tank (301) upgrade to type 98 light tank.

Type 95 fought during all the war so I think it's why we are forced to keep them.

I still don't understand why it's possible to upgrade all units to Type 3 medium tank because they were a few too [&:]

In the museum at Yasukuni Jinja there is a type 97 tank
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_97_Chi-Ha

Up close...Nothing too impressive. I am sure if I was a peasant soldier with no anti tank weapon it would be scary...
But with some decent AT weapons or friendly tanks...It just does not have a nasty fear factor...

Still better for attacking vehicle than fanatics with rifles and grenades.

Although I just watch and Type 2 is far better than Type 95 especially for range and armor.
