Rhodes, Kos, Leros - tagged wrong?

Post by joshuamnave »

I was trying to set up some air in preparation for an attack on Greece. The three Italian owned Islands off the east coast of Greece appear to be tagged wrong by the program. When I try to rebase air to any of them, the status window tells me I'm exceeding stacking limits.

Italy is at war with CW/France, and this happens with both Italian and German air units attempting to land there.

I have no trouble to land aircraft on them.

Could it be that you get the wrong 'error' message. Could it be that in order to rebase to the islands that the aircraft need to use extended rebasing but enemy naval units in a sea area prevents the use of the extended rebasing?

Edit: Or out of range due to the need to fly around neutral Greece?

I think you're right. Out of range because of neutral Greece, and the error message is the wrong error message. I thought that got fixed with the last patch?

That was a different error message fixed. Had to do with overstacking, not with distance.
Edit: could be a regression of that fix.

There's a similar bug in the message when you try to rebase a minor country air unit outside the minor when the max number of minor units has already left the country. You get a stacking error message instead of the not enough units left in home country message.

When found I will do the report - a gamesave will speed up things, but as this is minor......

Don't you already have a save where you can do this fast? If not then I think I can find one in my library.

I don't think so - but will be there in a couple of weeks. My library is not so large as I am one of the latest Beta testers around. If you have one - please go ahead. I think Zartacla will not be disappointed when you pick this up.

Reported - thanks to Zartacla for signalling this, and Orm for creating a nice gamesave
