Combine Half Squads

I can't find anywhere in the manual that says how to combine two half squads during the Rally Phase.

I had two Russian half squads in a hex with a good order leader, but couldn't figure out what I needed to do to combine them.

Anyone know how?

You can't combine half squads into a full squad.

Hmmm. Page 42, 5. Sequence of Play states half squads can be combined during the rally phase. I wondered this myself as I hadn't seen a way to do it either.

Oh right. That. I forgot about that. That got left off at the last minute (with Mark's OK), because I was too paranoid it would wreak havoc with victory conditions. You combine a squad - bam, now you don't have enough to exit, or things of that nature.

But, I will look into if it is possible to add now. Though I'm not really sure WHY you would do that. Could get rid of some -1 melee penalties I suppose.

Thanks for clarifying that up. I was going crazy clicking...dragging, and every other possible combination of selection trying to make this happen. Glad it wasn't just me.

Sorry, Guys. Our bad. I'm not big on the combining/breaking up thing. Breaking up isn't allowed in the board game, and although combining is I've--in about 300 games--never done it. We won't be adding that feature.
