I ask because that would be two turns per month...
This is odd, bi monthly can mean either every other month or twice a month!
Weird ass language!
So when the stats say bi weekly, are we talking every other week?

Just don't call it a fortnight.

Bi-monthly suggests two-month, semi-monthly suggests half-month. They have a tendency to be used interchangeably, however... This is semi-monthly.

I actually looked up the words... humility is a good thing, and was surprised that our language is so non precise.. Bi monthly means either twice a month or every other month. WAT?

Yep, it is a known language bug first reported a few centuries ago. Bi-annual creates the same error message. Until there is a patch then the hot-fix is to use 'Twice monthly'

Well, I like it that we get meaning from context.. what about Ball???
It has like five meaning .. but in the bi monthly etc there is no contextual sense..
crazy stuff, reminds me of way way back in Apolo Soyuz,sp?, days that TASS misquoted some idiomatic American slang used by our pilots, astronauts.. I think it was a compliment that; " They really can fly by the seat of their pants", or they are instinctual gifted was translated; " they fly ass first" lol

I think the word "run" has the record for most meanings in English language, not sure though.

I think the word "run" has the record for most meanings in English language, not sure though.

"Set" has 464 definitions in the Oxford English Dictionary. "Run" runs a distant second, with 396. Rounding out the top ten are "go" with 368, "take" with 343, "stand" with 334, "get" with 289, "turn" with 288, "put" with 268, "fall" with 264, and "strike" with 250.

With definitions like this, we should abandon each of the above! No wonder English is a crazy language to learn (so I've heard, being a native speaker...)

I would like to emphasize that context is great.. it is those occasions that context does not give meaning that are troublesome.. and then we get ghetto in the mix.. the first time I herd a guy say he was conversating.. Hello public education
