The 4th Mechanised Bde was formed in the desert of North Africa just before the Second World War and fought in most of the major campaigns of the 2nd world war, and theatres of operations against Italian, German and Japanese forces.

Now named 4th Armoured Bde as part of 3rd (UK) Armoured Division BAOR, they were held back with 3rd Armd Division as the BAOR reserve until the WP 1st echelon had been defeated.

1st & 4th Armoured Division having defeated the 1st echelon 3rd Combined Arms Army, 3rd Armd Division carried out a relief in place, now the Black Rats prepare add a new series of battle honours to their colours fighting the Warsaw Pact in Europe.

Take command of 2 battle groups formed from the 1st Bn, The Grenadier Guards, 14th/20th King’s Hussars and 17th/21st Lancers with attached artillery and air defence units supported by units from 3rd Armd Div and 24th airmobile bde with air support provided by 2nd Allied Tactical Air Force against the soviet 2nd echelon 20th Guards Army as they push forward towards the French border.

Featuring 5 battles ranging from a recce covering force engaging forward elements to a full blown defence action before moving over into attack to recapture lost ground.

Looking for 2-3 play testers to test the first 3 battles while I work on the remaining 2 battles, I'm looking to have it play tested once the 2.03 hotfix is out.

Just a quick update on this campaign, I have it to where I want it be in terms of forces and just waiting to hear back from play testers so hopefully not long before I release it.

If any of the map modders want to 're-do' the maps I've created for this drop me a PM

I'm hoping to release this shortly after 2.04 comes out so get ready for some big battles. This campaign will also come with 2 versions of maps, the original maps made by myself and another set done by W1ll14m see HERE for examples of his great work

Tazak, you may wish to not get too big like the Fulda scenario since people are crashing during play due to a graphics handle overflow problem. This was beyond a 2.04 fix, but we will be working a solution for 2.1 or a hot fix if we find an easy solution (not holding my breath on that one with windows though).

Thanks CD, I've been toying with cutting down the forces and now I have that extra nudge, and I can always keep a "full sized campaign" for a later release.

None of our official scenarios or campaigns have hit this snag, so you can benchmark from there. It is also possible there is an issue with the scenario and the 2.03 game engine too. Just to add to the excitement.

Its about on par with "hell on wheels" with approx. 350 vs 700 'runners' in the biggest scenarios although its based in the heavy wooded southern area of 1 BR Corp
